Meet the Staff
Dr. Anthony Hardnett received his Bachelors in Biology with an emphasis in Exercise and Nutritional sciences from Life University, Georgia. He graduated with honors from Life University Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, along with a Clinic Excellence Award.
Dr. Hardnett is highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries and abnormalities common to the spine, extremities and rest of the body. He has extensive knowledge and experience treating patients who suffer from neck or back pain along with headaches. He also works with people who have work and sports related injuries or who have been in motor vehicle accidents.
Dr. Hardnett places his emphasis on correcting spinal subluxations using the latest techniques of spinal adjustments, neuromuscular re-education, physical therapy, myofascial release, and exercise therapy. Dr. Hardnett feels that efficient treatment programs and patient education are all keys for the patient's ultimate success.

Laura is the Office Manager/Chiropractic Assistant at Effective Chiropractic and has been in the medical field for over 5 years. She meets and greets all patients, schedule appointments, ensures your visit will be a pleasant one, and she can answer any questions about your insurance plan or any other billing questions you may have. Kelsey is Effective Chiropractic's front desk receptionist.
She is dedicated to overseeing the working operations of our chiropractic office. She enjoys interacting with the patients and the upbeat environment, all while maintaining a clean and enjoyable office for our patients.She will be training to become a Chiropractic Assistant. Her main goal is to help you from the moment you walk through the door and make sure your visit is as smooth as can be!
Rebecca is also Effective Chiropractic's front desk receptionist. She is dedicated on keeping the office clean and enjoyable. She meets and greets every patient with a smile, schedules appointments, and can assist you with any questions you have. She is a licensed in CPR and is currently in training to become a Chiropractic Assistant. Her main goal is to make you feel welcome, to further educate you on chiropractic care, and to make you feel a part of our Effective Chiropractic family.
Kristy Ann Keck, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), is the original founder of A Mother's Touch Massage Therapy in 2000 which evolved into Maryland Licensed Massage Therapy in February of 2010 when she joined up with Dr. Hardnett and his amazing staff at Effective Chiropractic Health & Wellness Center
She graduated from Baltimore School of Massage in 1996. She received her training in Pre-natal and Post pardum massage as well as Fertility Work through the ‘Nurturing the Mother’ program taught by Claire Miller out of North Carolina. Kristy continued to deepen her skills in working with families with Doula training (a person who provides professional support to women and their families through labor and delivery of their baby), as well as infant massage training. CPR certified by the American Red Cross Foundation, she has been an American Massage Therapy Association member since 1997. Kristy has numerous hours of continuing education, always looking for the best techniques developed thus far.
Her experience in serving the families of central Maryland for the last 13 years started with leasing space in an OB/GYN office in Bowie. She also spent over 3 years providing on-site seated massage to the employees of The Census Bureau and NSA. She receives frequent requests to speak about various topics including Pre-natal and infant massage, stress management, and relaxation techniques among others. In addition, she assisted in establishing Massage Therapy as an integral component of the Complimentary Medicine wing at the Clarksville office of Contemporary Health for Women. Kristy has maintained a private practice in AA county since 2002.
Kristy began to learn about and experience the many benefits of chiropractic care with Dr. Anthony Hardnett of Effective Chiropractic Health & Wellness Center for herself, her husband, and her three children. With EC's expansion over the winter of 2009/10, Kristy joined up with Dr. Hardnett and his staff to provide Massage Therapy services in the newly expanded state of the art office.
As a mom of three and step-mom of two she has a deep understanding of a mother’s needs. She enjoys her continued work with her "moms to be". Kristy is constantly learning new, more effective methods to help you feel better and achieve wellness. Treating specific acute and chronic pain conditions, she enjoys helping people achieve relief and learn how to maintain it.
Kristy and her husband, Chuck, reside in Millersville with their three children and four cats.
